MinipassionMini - Image gallery - Scale Models - Mini Cooper from The Bourne Identity

In this movie Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) escapes in an spectacular car chase from the Paris Police in a red Mini Cooper.

Using a Mini British Open from Solido in 1/43, like the one in the picture, this Mini from the movie was reproduced as detailed as possible.

The model was totally disassembled and was painted red. The interior was painted black with red stripes in order to reproduce the interior of a Rover Cooper. The steering wheel and dashboard were moved from RHD to LHD.

The pushbars were made by hand using paper clips and the side mirrors and fog light were made from scratch from a polystyrene sheet.

Finally the model was finished by detailing and painting rust spots.
The license plates, badges and window stickers were took from images from the movie
and they were cleaned by computer, reduced to scale and printed in high quality paper.
